Montana Decoy Miss Hoptober is a completely realistic photo cut out of a rabbit. Well maybe not completely realistic, but it’s good enough to fool a coyote. It’s a nice, light, and easy to pack up coyote hunting gear trick that still works today.

Sticks N’ Limbs Camouflage
If you decide to start hunting coyotes the smart thing to do would not be wearing your bright purple tracksuit in the middle of the woods. You have to blend into the coyote’s natural environment, and the only sensible way to do that is with the right camouflage.
There are tons of companies out there that make good camos, but if you want the best, that works from not only up close but from far away, then Sticks N’ Limbs camouflage is a good place to start.
Sticks N’ Limbs might not be the prettiest or most attractive camo on the market, but it has been tested and proven to work for hunting purposes. The company understands that most camo becomes a solid, dark splotch that becomes a solid human shape to animals, hence you are easily detectable.
Sticks N’ Limbs focuses on creating designs that heavily feature 3-dimensional use of size, texture and color that come together to form the sensation of blurred imagery.
Most animals focus on the black limbs featured on most of the camo. This makes the rest of your body vanish as they lose sight on the majority of the design. The effect coupled with the 3-dimensional shadings on the clothes create an effect that makes game look right through you whether it be 15 or 100 yards away.

The bait idea is brilliant. It took me months to catch my first coyote so that I can tell you, it takes a whole new level of patience, but it was incredibly rewarding hunting experience.
Hi Judith,
We should go hunting together some time. Coyotes are aloof most of the times and it really does take a lot of patience to spot and stalk them. They are quick and agile. One sound from you and they can run off in any direction so anticipating their next move can be hard.
One trick though is to corner them so that they would not have any other place to go but where you would want them to be.
Andrew.
That Montana Decoy Miss Hoptober is so cute (the name’s fairly cute as well). I don’t go hunting. But using a picture decoy is pretty much better than using a wounded rabbit. And yeah, its true that coyotes are aloof creatures but they can be smart too. My friend was so outraged because some coyotes took his beloved cat. Poor cat.
Too bad for the cat. :(
Using a plastic decoy is more humane but remember to douse it’s plastic scent. You can rub it on your dog or the cat to transfer the scent. You can also wrap a piece of authentic animal fur around it to attract more coyotes.
